Another year has almost come and gone. I guess a lot of people are echoing that very same phrase. For some, they are probably happy to see this year go. For others, maybe not so much. I'm not sure. I do know it has been hard on many in our country. Let's face it, when you're used to having everything and then things get a little tight, you get uncomfortable. It's interesting to note that even when we go through these financially challenging situations, we still have more than almost every other country on planet earth. Is it right to be whining and crying about our "situation"? I wonder if you have thought about what it really means to be poor. Most of the worlds' population makes less than $2 dollars a day. We are indeed very, very wealthy, but you'd hardly know it by the way people go on and on in our country. I think it is a wise thing to be content with what you have. Be thankful. Things can always be worse. In a country where the "poor" have televisions, cars, stereos, cell phones, clothes, etc. we should be ashamed to complain. Even if you are not making as much money as you have in the past or even if you have lost your job, you still have more than most. Reaching out to help someone else will make a difference for you. There is always someone whose circumstances are worse than yours. Try helping them and see what a difference it makes in your life.
