I was just thinking about how funny children are. I am so blessed to be able to be at home with my children. They make me laugh all of the time. Come to think of it we make each other laugh. I have children from age 6 to 14 so I hear a lot of funny stuff. For instance, my daughter and I have been reading Macbeth and my little one happened to be playing but ever so closely listening to us read the play and discuss it. Later that same day while we were in the van driving who knows where, my little guy (out of no where) pipes up "double bubble toilet trouble" instead of "double, double toil and trouble". What a whoot. We all laughed until water was squirting out of our eyes.
Laughter is a medicine. Take at least three times daily!

My husband and I recently rented the M. Night Shyamalan movie "The Happening". I am glad we didn't pay to see this at the theater. Talk about a bad movie. Bad acting, ridiculous plot and in the end the disturbing images made me feel awful. I suppose making political movies will just keep increasing. Whatever happened to making entertaining movies? It gets annoying going to the movies and then being hammered by someones political views. This movie had strong environmental overtones. The scene with the nuclear reactors in the background was stupid. In fact the whole premise of this movie was stupid. The plants rise up against mankind and poison people with a toxin that makes the people commit suicide. Oh, as a side note, the wind cooperates. How the plants and the wind communicate is not known but when the plants are ready to poison people the wind picks up and blows the toxin. In one scene it actually chases people! In addition to the radical environmental tone, there are a lot of mistakes in the movie. All that said, for me, the worst was the people committing suicide. I can't even articulate how that made me feel. On a positive, there was one person in the movie who played their part perfectly. The old lady at the end. SCARY! She was a good scary lady. So that's it. Don't see this movie unless you are a glutton for punishment or you are an extreme environmentalist.

Well the clock is ticking the countdown to super Tuesday. It looks like the media has made their pick. The only thing I see on TV are ads for Obama or the media (all branches) talking about him. What ever happens, I know God is in control. The Bible says God sets up kingdoms and takes them down. His plan and purpose will be accomplished. History proves He uses evil people to get things done, too. So..........I will not worry about tomorrow. God is sovereign.

musings
I cannot believe it is already October. Where does the time go? The weather is so nice right now. I love autumn. I used to be a winter girl, but the older I get the less I like the extreme cold. The children are finishing up the first 6 six weeks of school. I feel like they are all doing very well. Mar and Bobby should be back by the end of this month. Maybe we'll get to spend Thanksgiving together. That will be nice. Too bad we won't make it to Mom and Dad's for the holidy. I love the beach! Oh well, God is in control and I'm glad about it. I need to call Tina, as today is her birthday. Her 46th. It looks like Bo will be going to Brasil next week. For how long, I'm not sure. It's all good though, we need the extra money. The hurricane caused a lot of extra spending. One thing is for sure, we were prepared and we will be again if we ever need to be. I am working on making jewelry right now. I have taken a break from drawing and collage. I am also knitting. I need to get some scarfs under my belt. They make good gifts. Homemade is the best.
